Just got this Viewsonic VA2419-sh to replace my old 19" LCD monitor. The Viewsonic VA2419-sh is a budget monitor from Viewsonic's VA series. VA is short for value.
This monitor has Full HD (1920x1080) resolution, 24" AH-IPS matte screen (23.8" viewable). I think 24" size monitors is the sweet spot for me. Text displayed on the screen are not too small while still maintaining a good amount of sharpness at 100% Window's dpi scaling. I just couldn't stand reading for long hours on a 27" monitor. Anything above 24" should have a higher resolution than Full HD.
The Viewsonic VA2419-sh has 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA port and a 3.5mm audio-out jack. It would be great if there are 2 HDMI ports but at this price point, I can't complain much.
The only gripe I have with this monitor is the IPS glow near the bottom of the screen, which is a normal characteristic of a IPS panel.
Below are some random shots of the Viewsonic VA2419-sh.
