Xiao Yi Dashcam - New firmware V-1.03.027 released

A new firmware V-1.03.027 was released for the Yi Dashcam CN version about 3 days ago. It is supposed to optimize video performance according to the changelog.

If you have the US version or the new black version of the Yi Dashcam(basic edition), do not update or use this firmware. This firmware is only for dashcams with the CN prefix in the serial number.


This new firmware version can be downloaded from here.

On the download page, select the prefix that matches your dashcam serial number. At the second drop down menu, select the second option for a normal update. Only select the first option if you can't boot your dashcam normally.



Go here to see how to update Yi Dashcam firmware manually. I'd recommend anyone to update the firmware manually because the updater app on the phone can mess up the update sometimes.

For US version of the Yi dashcam, you can go here to download the latest firmware.

For the Black version/Basic edition or Power version ( which is directly translated from Chinese ), latest firmware can be download from here.

    Like the above guideline, select the prefix in the serial number that matches your device.

    Latest firmware is V-1.03.034

    What if I have originally CNC version (CABAA) changed SN to USC, currently there is EN 1.03.026, in such case can I still use this firmware or will I mess it up because SN in EN while I would upload this firmware 1.03.027. This firm is only for cam with CN SN, right?

      If you want to use 1.03.027 CN, then it's probably a good idea to change the SN back to CN.

    I have not done it. But you can try.

    Not sure why they reverted back to 1.03.026, and took off 1.03.028 CN firmware. My current CN firmware is 1.03.028 and had none of the problems some users who were complaining on the forums.

    ı need help for FW, ı have an compact grey CN version but ı load wrongly .26 version and it "yi dashcam system language adaptation fail" how can ı repair it. thnxx
