Global beta ROM 7.5.19 released for Redmi Note 4 MTK

The Global beta ROM 7.5.19 was released a few days late from it's usual weekly update. Global beta 7.5.18 was supposedly cancelled due to unknown reasons.

What's new?

A few new apps, themes and wallpapers were added. Surprisingly the ROM size has trimmed down despite these new additions. There are no official news about what has been excluded from this new ROM.

The new apps are MIUI forums app, WPS office and a chinese app '小米金服安组件'. Fortunately, these 3 apps could be uninstalled if you don't want to use them.

Changelog

Messaging
Delete - adjustments for messaging: service and promo SMS, scheduled SMS and group messages

Home screen
Optimization - adjusted the button for clearing memory in recents.

Themes
New themes and wallpapers, fonts and ringtones. ( Credit goes to PatrickXi from MIUI forums ).

Some photos of the Acer F15 F5-573G.

Box and specifications.

 Setup guide.

Warranty card. Laptop manufactured/assembled on 20 January 2017.

 65W AC adapter

AC adapter power cord.

The screen defaults to 125% Windows DPI scaling. What that means is everything will look bigger/magnified. If it's set at 100% windows scaling, the text might look too small to work comfortably with for most people.

SD card reader, power and charging indicator.

Good touchpad. I would rate it above average.

7th Gen Intel Core i5 and dedicated Nvidia Geforce 940MX GPU.

Brushed aluminium with textured patterns. Sturdy build overall.

From left to right; 3.5mm headphone/speaker jack, USB 2.0 port, DVD-RW drive, DC-in jack.

 Rear side.

Left to right; Kensington lock slot, USB type-C port, Gigabit LAN port, VGA port, HDMI port, USB 3.0 ports.

Bottom side. 3-screw cover panel for easy access to HDD, SSD and RAM upgrade.

Keyboard up close. Full layout keyboard for better productivity.

Keyboard backlight under lowlight condition. ( *This photo has too much blue tint in it, I apologize for that. The photo below is more color accurate)

Keyboard backlight in total darkness.

 Backpack.

Added another 4GB DDR4 RAM.

The Acer Aspire F15 F5-573G specfications and configuration may vary in different countries or regions. Models can be identified by their last four prefix, F5-573G-xxxx. For example, F5-573G-510L(using Intel Core i5-7200U) which is sold in the US, has a better dedicated GPU, 12GB RAM, better battery and of course a higher price tag.

Another example, the Acer Aspire F5-573G-58W4 which is sold in Romania has a Linux OS installed, 256GB SSD and no HDD storage, a better NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M GPU and 6 cell battery.

It is a low mid-range laptop with a 15.6inch screen, full size keyboard, SSD + HDD combo, latest 7th Gen  Intel Core CPU, decent amount of ports and connectors and a DVD-RW drive as a bonus. If you don't mind the limited viewing angles on the TN panel screen and weight of the laptop, this laptop might just fit your needs.

*Update ( 28/7/2017 ): Acer has released another model, Acer Aspire F15 F5-573G-58YP ( black color ). It has a better dedicated GPU Nvidia GTX950M and a 6-cell battery which costs about RM200(or USD47) more. I think it's worth that extra cost and still a value for money laptop.
